About Me: I just finished my first year of uni at MUN in Newfoundland, but this September I'll be transferring to SMU in Halifax to do a degree in Asian Studies! I'm working towards becoming a Japanese Translator, hopefully in film (♥). There's tons more info listed in my FO page c:

Also also! I'm currently in BC visiting taeminnie & we'll be going to Vancouver next weekend! We were trying to find stores that sold decent Japanese merchandise, maybe possibly something Arashi/Johnny's? She's into KAT-TUN & also some Kpop (JYJ, SHINee, Super Junior, SS501, etc.) so if there's any place anyone knows of that sells these things, please reply & let me know!

I don't want to come off as leeching info off the new comm, but it's kinda sorta perfect timing, and seeing as some of you seem to be from the area... :D

Hey! :D As for the stores in the Vancouver area that sell Japanese merchandise, a really good one is Book-Off, which is close to the Burrard skytrain station (since most of the stuff is used, it's all reaaaaaally cheap too - most of the magazines are like 2$). There's another Japanese bookstore in Richmond at Yaohan centre which is close to one of the stations on the Canada line (can't remember which one now... haha) This one has all new stuff though, so most of it's pretty expensive. Also in places like Metrotown and Crystal mall there are lots of Asian stuff in general (more so Chinese I find, but still lots of Korean & Japanese stuff as well - Metrotown is reaaaaally good for things like asian stationary and pencils and such) Also there's Chinatown, where clearly most things are Chinese, but in some stores you can also find Japanese & Korean things
& my most recommended place to go is definitely the Richmond Night Market. There's usually a couple stands with a whole bunch of DVDs (Japanese/Korean/Taiwanese dramas & movies mostly) but the only bad thing is that they're all pirated... Most of the time they work alright though
Wow, I wrote a lot >_< Hopefully I could help in some way! ^_^

None of the names or places mean anything to me haha, but Meghan says she knows where a lot of those places are. THIS IS SO USEFUL. I'M GONNA WRITE IT ALL DOWN FOR WHEN WE GO.

Again, you are a BEAUTIFUL INDIVIDUAL ♥♥♥

Hahah, no problem! :D If you don't know where anything is, you can probably just search the name in google & it'll probably have it :)
